Cleveland Show

Every Sunday night, while I'm doing last minute homework I tune in on Fox 5 to watch "The Cleveland Show". "The Cleveland Show" is a spin off of "Family Guy" where the character, Cleveland, returns to his hometown and starts his life with a new family. In the last episode Rallo, Cleveland wife's son, becomes jealous of Cleveland. Although, he is only five, Rallo is jealous that Cleveland has taken his position as the new man of the house. As well, Cleveland has taken the most important thing from him, his mother. Rallo tries, at great lengths, to get his mother soley to himself. Ultimately, Rallo throws himself down the stairs to cause a scene. At the hospital his mother is notified that he broke his leg. Even though he is injured, completetng his goal of isolating his mother to himself overrode his pain.
It amazed me at what great lengths, Rallo, took just to have his mother to himself. In life people do similar things to get what they want. For example, an athlete who wants to become the best may take steriods to surpass their competition. Where is the borderline drawn between a friendly competition and when people take things to far? When people begin to bring physical harm onto themselves it becomes an issue rather than competition. It atonishes me at what great lenths people take in order to get what they want, even if it means hurting themselves.
